Transformation Learning Corporation is a Licensed Private Academic School serving students with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. We are currently looking for an individual to fill the position of Special Education Teacher for the of the 2023-2024 school year.  Responsibilities of this individual include, but are not limited to the following:

• Developing engaging lessons to gain and maintain student attention and interest in a small, structured classroom environment. 

• Implementing a school-wide positive reinforcement system.

• Determining priority academic goals and target behaviors.

• Writing and effectively implementing student IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans.

• Collecting and tracking academic and behavioral data for progress monitoring. 

• Effectively managing classroom behavior through the use of behavior principles.

• Familiarity with distance learning platforms and online instruction (Google classroom, Zoom conferencing, Microsoft Teams, Khan Academy, etc.)

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• PA Teaching Certificate required. 

• Act 34/Act 151/FBI Clearances required.

 

Preferred Skills

• Strong background in behavior management skills and an understanding of reinforcement methodology preferred.

• Experience working with students with social, emotional or behavioral difficulties also preferred.
